If the value was high for the HUD, I'm guessing the value was 'active time' which ties in with my hunch that sometimes 'ghost' HUDs appear on the land.   I have put out a beta version of next HUD that has a fix for that (hopefully) so you might want to give that a go.  You can pick it up at the back of the Mintor store (in the beta section)
