The idea of the XP system now is to act as a measure of your experience in using and interacting with the VivoSim system. You can increase your XP as follows:
Starting out: As a new user you will gain 1 XP for spending time in OpenSim with your HUD active. The rate this happens depends upon your metabolism setting:
approximate time to earn 1 XP
High ~ 4.5 hours
Medium ~ 7.5 hours
Low ~ 12 hours
Once you get to the next ranking (50 points) you will then stop receiving those time related XP
As well as the time generated XP, you can also get XP by doing 'tasks' and completing 'targets'.
Tasks - This is a one off thing and earns 5 XP for each task you complete. At the moment there are only two tasks, Visit Mintor and Visit Lugo. Task can be things like 'visit another farm, 'bake some bread', 'sell to Exchange, and so on. I will be developing the task system further and adding more tasks, along with a page on the website showing them so you can see what is available.
Targets - Targets will be a set of things to achieve, such as 'bake 3 types of cake', 'milk 6 animals' and so on. My plan is to also have group/collective targets so that a group of people can work to achieve them (along ultimately with rankings for groups/collectives)
Medals - These are things that you will be able to win. Still working on this!
Coins - Just a reminder that the coins (Vivo's) are completely separate from the XP system, although there may be some tasks and/or targets that involve them. The aim with coins is to develop them to be something that can be an optional 'trading' feature.
