Yes I've noticed particle effects seem to vary quite widely even on my Quintonia regions, not sure why! May look at putting in a config setting to adjust the smokiness (at the moment it's just on or off)

I've updated the 'Forestry' box to include the new items, including the addition of a setting for the amount of smoke!
