The only things I can think of why it doesn't scan for the range you set are:
(1) The scan will find the closest items that start with "SF " up to a maximum of 32 so if you have lots of objects called "SF something" close by that could be the issue. You can test by putting the scarecrow in an empty place and then try.
(2) The scan will only find objects that are in the same region, so if on the edge, for instance, it won't see anything in the next region even if really close.

ok im using a scarecrow with a crow on its shoulder its 2 prims i have all the scripts and the notecards from the SF Storage Rack i then dropped them into the crow without the items EG the FS oranges and FS Honey or any of the other items im trying to make a single item storage out of it only to collect from crops/fields/trees then when the crops are ready i ADD STOCK from the menu it only holds 13 items before they don't show above the crows head, that is ok cause no fields have more then 13 items cause im using one scarecrow per field Set EG 1 for herb garden items ect ect and so on the problem is it will only read SENSOR Range 20 meters the most i can get it even if i put it to 96 meters in the Config notecard i didnt make this this is...

Not sure why you are seeing this - I checked the code and it does use the value you set in the config notecard when it scans. I tested and found it does follow that settings, at least in my testing....[img][/img]all so i have found that the SENSOR_DISTANCE=96 in the Notecard will only search around 15 meters, even if you set it to 96 maybe that's a job for Buzzy to fix.

I've updated the chapter about creating storage (
vivosim.net/help/guides/user-guide/chapt...ur-own-items-storage
) but yes, you have one main prim with all the products and code in it, then you can add extra prims that are used just to show individual product status levels,

the script reads the name you put on each container EG if you have 5 containers each with there own names then just another prim on its own with the scripts in the last prim on it own then the prim with the script in it should be the last linked prim/mesh

I have been looking at the Kitchen Storage for keeping the Japanese crops that I am creating. My question is after looking at the scripts that I can find I don't truly understand how the the products end up in the containers.
If i click on the shelf, i get the standard scripts. The items on the shelves each have labels with their names and percentage of crops for each one, however there are no scripts in the contents of the containers. I'm not sure how this works, but would like to use this set-up to create a Japanese store. Any help would be appreciated.

I've begun working on the 2nd Japanese garden, Konsai Garden which means root vegetables. Here it some more information on the garden:
JAPANESE KONSAI GARDEN
DESCRIPTION
The Japanese Konsia is a small garden that grows 11 Japanese root vegetables for preparing Japanese dishes. I have researched recipes and preparation so the dishes are as close to the actual dish in real life. Some of the textures of the roots vegetables are still a work in progress.
ADDITIONAL
The following vegetables have been added for Japanese cuisine
➔ Gobo (burdock root)
➔ Kabu (turnip)
➔ Daikon (Japanese radish)
➔ Kaiware (radish sprouts - not daikon)
➔ Ninjin (carrot)
➔ Jagaimo (potatoes)
➔ Satsumaimo (sweet potato)
➔ Satoimo (taro)
➔ Yamaimo (Japanese yam)
➔ Shirataki (konjac)
➔ Wasabia (wasabi)
➔ Shoga (ginger)
TECHNICAL
To change the original "garden" requires some work with the config file and the scripts. Here is a list of changes:
➔ Short names of vegetables have been added and deleted.
➔ Full names of vegetables have been added and deleted
➔ Autoreplant has been activated
➔ Auto Water mode has been changed from "sprinkler" to "water tower" for use of the small pumps
SCRIPTS
Scripts have been copied from various Vivosim plants with similar uses for Vivosim such as:
➔ config: various vegetables and herbs
➔ setpin: various vegetables and herbs
➔ sounds: pour rice, sniffing
