I hope you don't mind me asking questions here but this seemed like a nice and active place I've tried a few of the Farmer NPCs (really love the concept btw lol) and they all seem to water everything, even fields that have Auto Water turned off. Is that normal? I turned off Auto Harvest/Cook in its config so hopefully it will leave us something to do hahah.
Are there any commands that can be given to the NPC, like having him stop and/or sit and take a break? lol After doing a little research into NPCs I see there are command card configs and such, can something like that be added into the bots or would it break everything hehe...
Having fun!

Please do ask away, that's what the Forum is here for
The NPC's currently only do basic stuff.. The idea of them I believe (I didn't create them) is that they can top up water for plants and feeders, harvest crops and plant new ones and make slop. So if you have all animal feeders set to use slop as the top up food, then you get a sort of self contained system. There is certainly a lot more that potentially could be done, such as have them top up food, mate animals and so on. I like the idea of them randomly taking a break also!
I am slowly extending what they can do - I've just added extra storage options and hopefully they will work in other languages also. Certainly if anyone wants to have a go at adding other functions that is the joy of the Satyr Farm system, that it's open for anyone to do things with it!

I do have quite a few NPC's at Luxgrave (although mostly in 'adult' roles there!) plus in the farm shop at Mintor are a pet dog and cat which give examples of controlling NPC's

Another NPC question So I have my Farmer NPC set to NOT harvest anything (ENABLE_HARVESTING=0)
but he still seems to insist on planting empty fields. While I admire his diligence sometimes we just want to keep a few fields empty :dry:
Can you please explain what these lines mean exactly?
# Item name | List of trees/plants and frequency to Plant from separated by ','
TREE=SF Square Field|4|Grain,Corn,Oats,Barley
TREE=SF Small Field|4|Carrots,Potatoes,Tomatoes,Strawberries,Sugar Cane,Peppers
I understand the listed crops are what he would be able to plant, but what does the |#| for "frequency" mean? I tried removing the |#|(crops) but then he doesn't water them. Basically that's all we want him to do, water fields and feeders.
Same question here:
# Feeders to check water level
TREE=SF Feeder|4| What does the |4| mean?
Thanks!

TREE=AA|BB|CC
AA = item name such as SF Square Field, SF Big Tree, SF Feeder etc. It can be the name of anything that can be watered.
BB = the bigger the number, the more often on average they get visited. Set all to 1 if you don't have a preference. If you set some to 2 and some to 1, then the '2' items will be visited roughly twice as often as the '1' items etc
CC = This is for any item that can be planted and is the name(s) of items to choose to plant. Leave empty and the farmer will still say 'this is empty' but won't then plant anything.
So for what you are aiming for it would be along the lines of
TREE=SF Square Field|1|
TREE=SF Small Field|1|
TREE=SF Big Tree|2|
(Trees need watering more often than crops)
For feeders, probably set all to be 1 unless you have a lot more of one animal than another and then you might want to make the feeder for them a higher number (since the water level will go down more quickly).
